Over 75% of the chemicals produced in the UK are from the Northern Powerhouse Region with clusters in Hull, Runcorn and Wilton. Meanwhile Germany has always been one of the largest producers and consumers of chemicals. During the recent COVID-19 the Chemical Industry has remained resilient and demonstrated the value of chemicals to the nation’s health.
